With the bumper off we soon realised we needed a few bits and pieces to give the next bumper somewhere to bolt on to. And to make the headlights and indicators fit. And to make the bonnet close. With a lot of hammering, pulling with chains, 'correcting' with a sliding hammer and jamming a bottle jack into some awkward crevices, we were able to refit the bumper brackets

only to find our new bumper needed as much correction as the car!
